Problems Logging In from the Proboards help forum
1) I login fine, but when I click a link it logs me out! Your browser is not accepting cookies properly. First check to make sure you have cookies enabled. Also, in Internet Explorer 6 you need to make sure that you have 3rd Party Cookies enabled.
2) To enable cookies, do the following:
Click on tools on the menubar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the privacy tab Put the arrow and track so that the arrow is on low Click ok
3) This will enable third party cookies: Click on tools on the menubar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the security tab Click on the custom button On the little window that pops up, scroll down to where it says cookies, and make sure the radio button is in the enabled position Click save
4) If the above didn't work try clicking "Always Stay Logged In" when you attempt to log in.
5) Maybe clearing out temporary internet files &/or cookies will help Go to Tools >>Internet Options >> Delete Cookies and then restart your computer and login again... Check the box to "Always stay logged in"... Then see what happens...
6) Always Log-out whenever you are done
If none of this helps, your Internet Explorer and/or Windows updates may not be up-to-date - search microsoft.com for your systems' updates.
There are some internet/email providers which have problems with the Proboards emails (AOL being the worst) If your problems persist you'd have to ask them to help you with it, if possible.
